In line with its mandate of creating access to aspiring legal scholars, the GIALS Library and Learning Resources Centre is open to advanced legal scholars and postgraduate research students. Amongst others, the centre focuses on encouraging research students with limited means to use the facility to further their knowledge and career opportunities. The centre will maintain collections of legal materials up to date with changes in the law, in particular domestic and international law, through access to internet. The centre will provide study space and a research environment where a community of scholars can meet and explore the literature of many legal systems across the world.
Facilities include:
- Law Books and Reference Library
- Internet access to free and subscription databases
- CD Library
- Publications Library

GIALS in association with the Commonwealth Legal Information Institute and the Australian Legal Information Institute will create growing electronics collections of primary legal materials of Ghana in fully searchable form. These will be made freely available on the Internet for national and international use. The Ghana Legal Information Institute will be a part of GIALS and will promote knowledge of Ghana’s laws and will be a resource in its own right for the more efficient practice of legal research.
